Master Erwin Mosqueda
INSTRUCTOR OF THE DECADE!
 
Master Mosqueda who holds an 8th grade black belt and is now based in Los Angeles, California was chosen as the "Instructor of the Decade" for his numerous monumental contributions and immense achievements in the field of this indigenous Filipino art of stick-fighting.
 
Mosqueda was a former three-time world champion having topped the junior flyweight division in sparring events during the 1st WEKAF Championships hosted by the City of Cebu on August 11-13, 1989. Mosqueda also ruled the bantamweight class during the 3rd edition of the biennial Arnis fest in Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila on August 26-28, 1994. He also dominated the men's forms (sayaw) competition during the 1st Mayor's Cup World Invitational Tournament held in Cebu City on August 19, 1994
 
Aside from being a decorated competitor, Mosqueda also takes pride for being an excellent organizer. He served as chairman of the organizing council of the 5th and 6th World Arnis Championships in Cebu City on June 19-21, 1998 and August 17-19, 2000, respectively. Mosqueda was also the tournament director of the 1st Doce Pares World Championships and Congress held on April 25-27, 2003 at the Circus-Circus Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
 
In addition to his shining credentials, Mosqueda has organized several tournament and conducted numerous workshops all over the United States in the past two years.
